A lecturer from Zakho University participated in the meeting titled “The Status of the Kurdish Language: Present and Future”

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Dr. Jirwan Saeed Haji, lecturer and head of the Kurdish Language Department at Zakho University, presented a topic under the title "Evaluation of Language for Kurdish Media Channels' Broadcasts" as part of her participation in the meeting titled "The Status of the Kurdish Language: Present and Future."

This meeting was held in conjunction with Mother Language Day, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in cooperation with the Kurdish Academy. It was organized with the preparation of the ministry’s representative and the president of the Kurdish Academy, Hama Said Hassan, along with the heads of Kurdish language departments, professors, and Kurdish linguists from all universities in the Kurdistan region. 

The meeting, titled "The Status of the Kurdish Language: Present and Future," aimed to discuss and present ideas for the development and preservation of the Kurdish language.
